Take Me Out to the Ballgame

B's first baseball game was last night...against their biggest rival, who is coached by one of B's closest friends, Chris. It was a close one and though I don't want us to be playing against each other often, it was fun to be together with my sweet friend, Rebecca, instead of our usual attending separate games with our hubbies' teams. It was also great to have so many friends there...thanks for coming and enduring the cold weather with us!

Gehrig on the rock pile with buddies Dawson Pope & Peyton Wilkins. Gehrig loves to throw rocks as much as his daddy did when he was young!

Sweet Greer looking for her daddy.

And getting some kisses from Gehrig.

We had a picnic dinner at the field. Peyton and Gehrig are so silly.

Some of our crew.

Gehrig and his buddy, Cole Marek, had a blast playing on the dirt piles! Check out the sunset behind them.
.
The best part about the games...Cole and Gehrig dragging the field with Daddy.

Daddy and Gehrig after the game.

Come join us at the field anytime! We'll be there. :)

Monkeys

Some pics from our Monkey Joe's visit this week. G is on the move!

Greer with her cute buddy, Beckett.

And a cute smiley Finley at the bottom of the slide.

Greer's turn! We couldn't believe how much she loved it! She shouldn't be big enough!!

Daddy, Gehrig & Greer at the bottom of the big slide. :)

That Fin is going to be a heartbreaker!

Just hanging out.

Just For Fun

Our kids love Monkey Joe's...climbing, jumping, running, bouncing. It is impossible to keep up with their energy and fearlessness! We enjoyed an evening there this week with the Pierces (I'll put up pics soon!) and I caught this quick video of B and Gehrig. Enjoy!

p.s. Gehrig was asking B to do this, I promise! :)

Love-ly Weekend

Daddy and Gehrig made some fun-shaped pancakes.

Be mine.

We visited Mammaw and Pots. Gehrig was excited to give Mammaw her valentine goodies.

Then Mammaw and Gehrig made cupcakes.

Mammaw and "Tutti." :)

Gehrig had a great day playing on the farm with Mammaw & Pots while Mommy & Daddy stayed at the house with a napping Greer.

Wow. Driving the frontend loader.

Wild and free!

The boy didn't want to leave. "I am NOT going home, Mama." A good time was had by all. :)

Beautiful Weather

The heavens tell of the glory of God.
The skies display his marvelous craftsmanship.
Psalm 19:1
.
We have been so grateful for the gorgeous weather! A beautiful day refreshes and encourages...it literally brightens my day. A week or two of them is even better, especially at the end of winter. We thank you Lord for your marvelous craftsmanship, for the changes in seasons, for blue skies and warm sunshine.

Greer is getting so big so fast. I still feel like Gehrig should be this age!

Fun swinging in the backyard!

Could anything be better for a little boy? Woods, a creek and great neighborhood buddies.

This was Greer's first time in the creek. Soaking wet, dirty and oh-so happy!

Experimenting with some coloring effects on the camera. She had so much fun.

Another beautiful day, enjoying a walk with Madi. Come, Spring!

Happy and sweet.

And as a Valentine's treat, a couple of shots of Greer, pretty in pink!

Rounding Out January

A few more January things...

1. Gehrig spent the night with all the Bourne cousins after we celebrated our extended family Christmas with them. Yes, we drove 2.5 hours home without him. It was so sad for me, but he had a blast! He stayed up WAY past his bedtime and rode home with Clark & Chris. We don't have all the pictures yet, but here is one of him sleeping on a football beanbag next to Jacob and Ryan's bed. He didn't want it to end!

2. Chaney and Ansley turned 4! Which means that Gehrig will turn 4 soon. (Deep breath.) We enjoyed celebrating with them! It was also Greer's first day wearing a hairbow! (I know...seems silly, but it has been 15 long months of waiting for enough hair to grow!!!)

3. Though we see the Links daily, we rarely go "out" together. Our normal get-togethers are at each other's houses or at restaurants that are super kid-friendly. To celebrate the end of a crazy work month for me and the start of fun weekend for our families, we met each other out to dinner at yummy Rae's. We didn't even know that we had these sweaters and would've never guessed that we would've accessorized so similarly! How funny!

4. Our sweet friends, Garrett & Traci visited and treated us to a yummy dinner. It was wonderful to see them again and have some time together.

January album is on the right!
