rest of july

B had a great opportunity to go to Athens in Chad's place to play some golf and raise funds for cancer research...so fun being with our friend Corey and meeting UGA football players too. Here with Todd Gurley :)

This makes me tear up every time...Corey and B gave Coach Richt a "Pray for Chad" bracelet and he wore it with pride.  He is one of the big reasons I am officially a full-fledged UGA fan now :)

The start of the 2014 summer monopoly craze

And the cutest superheros you'll ever see :))

Yeh.  While I worked one afternoon, the bigs set up and played monopoly in Gehrig's bathroom.  Not sure why, but they had fun...

A favorite sight now that our besties are back in town.  Continually grateful

Greer's sweet heart blows me away so often.  One day she set up this reading spot for me with the sign that said "For Mom, From Greer. Sit please."  She knows what I love...and when I need it :))

Her packing for a sleepover with Madi :)

And a cutie-pie swim date with the Links and Pierces

Their friendship is something special

Our favorite market...it smells as good as it looks :)

Heading to Sunday School...I'm telling you, the cuteness is constant with them

Baileys' visit!  So fun to see Katie and the kids

Loved watching Cam, Gehrig and the Ruckers boys play one afternoon...

And Garner sweet-talked the big boys into pushing her on the swing ;)

Love their laughter :)

Meanwhile, inside :)

And a dinner table full of cute

SO thankful for the gift of lifelongs friends

Little old married couple

And finally, B started his new job!  Our super sweet FCA kids from Evans surprised him and came to visit on his first day...and to pick on him a little bit for switching allegiances.  Despite the silliness, we know of their love and are so thankful for them and their thoughtfulness.  It meant so much :))

What a fun summer with more Daddy-time, friend and family visits and our best friends moving back into town...sad to see it go, but looking forward to a great school year and routine back too :)

summer travel finale

Before settling back into routine, we made one last trip to Atlanta to visit and watch the Braves play. Britt and Margaret were babysitting for Slade and Jessica for their anniversary date when we arrived, so we enjoyed an evening with them first.  Couldn't help but snap a pic of Preggers using every single couch pillow ;)

The next day we had lots of fun cousin time while Uncle Slade was at work :)

Stone's first fort-building :))

The game.  It was pretty rainy, but our seats were under-cover and it ended up making the evening cool and comfortable for July...so nice to not be miserably hot with 5 kiddos!

Loved the time with them :))

The Bravos won and we stayed after to watch the Friday night fireworks :)

With lots to do at home and Slade & Jessica's house in the other direction, we headed home late from the game.  Sweet kiddos all still love their loveys so much and racked out.  We rarely travel late and it was so quiet!

Thankful for a quick visit, cheap Braves tix and for such great summer fun in all :))

beach

Our beach week plans were different this year with family life changing as kids get bigger and our budget being a little tighter.  The Cooper boys had baseball tournaments and the Dormans were with family but close by.  So we made plans for a 4-5 day trip for our fam with day visits on the schedule with the Dorman crew... and were so thankful for a great deal on a condo from MayMay's mom.

Packed up and heading out in Daddy's truck :)

So beautiful!  We were right on the beach with a perfect amount of space in the condo and a great pool and view...

They paused quickly to let me grab a pic before they dove in that first afternoon.  Love them and this relaxed time with them so much :)

After some beach time, we rode bikes down for some after dinner treats :)

I was still on real-life schedule and woke early in the mornings for some great quiet time with the Lord...so peaceful and absolutely beautiful.  Incredibly thankful for that time

A good beach read, fun playtime and bike-riding made the rest of this day pretty close to perfect :)

We so love the fact that we rarely go anywhere in a car when we are there.  We hopped on our bikes again the next morning for a nice ride and then to meet our Dorman buds for lunch before an afternoon on the beach with them...

Love :)

Monopoly in the condo

And sweet Darcey reading to Garner :)

(She cracked us up picking this as her hiding spot for hide-n-seek :))

Beautiful to ride on the beach in the evenings :))

Gehr and B went out the next morning for breakfast and biking...and saw some critters!

And we had good condo time and visiting with Mammaw too this day :)

Resttime in the bunks

We met back up with the Dormans at their place for dinner with the extended fam...so nice!  And Gehr and Chaney were still the cute pair they've always been :)

Descending on the ice cream shop!

While we were there (eating soft ice cream, no less!), Greer lost her first tooth!

And Chaney and Gehr posed silly ;)

We loved our time with them and loved our sweet family time too.  So thankful for the opportunity to be there for a few days.  We finished the trip with one last evening bike ride and paused to count gifts before packing up.

Love those sunkissed, sweet faces and so so blessed to have had some time away with them :)
