Friday Night Lights

Football Fridays are so much fun! A stormy afternoon turned into a nice night for the first game of the season. B's team won and we got to visit with great family and SS friends. I am especially grateful for our aunt & uncle, Clark & Chris, for playing with the kiddos so much! We always love spending time with them!

FCA

We started the new year of FCA with our annual kickoff cookout. Here is this year's leadership team...love them!

It was a great time of fellowship, food and fun. We introduced the team and gave everyone an overview of FCA's mission.

Coach Wilson came by to challenge this year's club.

Stayin' Cool

There is nothing like going swimming on a hot summer day!

We had a great time going swimming with the Links and Abells one morning. Gehrig has missed his school buddy, Mark!

The girls...Victoria, Madi & Greer...all decked out in their flotation devices!

Then, the Coopers came to visit from Chatt for the weekend. We set up some water fun in the backyard...even Bo tried out the slip-n-slide!

Greer thought it was a water fountain! :)

The big boys had a great time doing tricks and sliding for hours!

Randy's parents also let us enjoy the pool at their place one night. It was really nice. Here we are with Em and the boys!

Sleep Sack & Girl Time with Mammaw

When Greer started climbing out of her bed, it sent us scrambling to find a solution. Our friend, Emily, suggested trying the sleep sack as a way of keeping her from swinging her leg over the side. Greer thought it was hilarious when we first put it on her...here she is, walking all over the house and cracking up.

When we first put her in the bed, she tried to climb out, got frustrated, tried to unzip it, called out for us...and finally gave up and was asleep within 5 minutes. Sweet girl, with the evidence of her working on unzipping it from the bottom...

She slept for over 3 hours and woke up sweaty and happy, with some crazy hair!

Meanwhile, Gehrig, B and I went on a trip last week and Mammaw came to stay with Greer. They had so much fun together! It was hard for us to be without Greer, but we felt better knowing that she was having such great girl time with her Mammaw (or Mema, as she calls her!). I love the pics they took together!

p.s. I found Greer in her crib this morning, out of the sleep sack, calling for Mommy. Guess we'll try to flip it around backwards to see if that will keep her from unzipping it?? At least she didn't climb out when she got it off!

Bebe & Dinos

For our last hurrah before school and football started, we enjoyed a fun visit with Bebe last weekend!

While we were in town, we took Gehrig to the Fernbank museum to see some dinosaurs. Oh, the joy!! When we walked in...
