Fall Festivals!

What a beautiful weekend!! We can't wait to meet the new baby, but so enjoyed our (probable) last weekend as a family of four...resting some at home and taking advantage of the beautiful weather and fun fall activities.

Wesley had their fall festival Saturday under perfect blue skies and thermostat like temps. I took care of picture taking while Daddy rode the rides. :)

She wasn't quite sure about this one!

Climbing is a breeze though...

After lunch treat

Fun crafts

And bull riding!

Finished up with getting her hair painted...pink and purple, of course!

Instead of trick-or-treating, we went to Warren's festival and had a great time with lots of friends and church family.

So, October is done and the full gallery of pics is up. Now, we are seriously focused on BabyWatch 2010...if nothing happens before, we go back on the 4th for our next checkup! We are ready and so excited to meet him/her!!!

Showering Baby G3

Just wanted to thank these sweet women for three great girl outings this month to shower and celebrate our baby #3. I feel so blessed and love you all. :)

October Homeschool Fun

We are loving the opportunites we've had this fall to spend time with other homeschool families and participate in great field trips and parties. So far, it has completely confirmed our decision to join them fulltime homeschooling next year when Gehrig starts first grade. And I am continually grateful for the blessing of being home with the kids and enjoying these times with them.

We went to Reed Creek one morning to learn about the scientific process and make volcanoes from mud in the creek. The kids loved it. :)

Awesome moms stepping right into the cold water, shoes and all.

The Gs with their clay samples from the creek.

So fun getting dirty, enjoying nature and learning!

We also had a fun harvest party for our co-op group at the Popes. A pic beforehand...Ruckers, Popes & Masseys :)

Awesome group of women

Sweet friend Jen...aka, who I look up to most as a homeschooling mom :)

Fam shot

Harvest party families...such an awesome group!!

And finally, yesterday we enjoyed going to a theatre downtown to see a cute musical with lots of families. As we drove down there, I tried to explain what we were doing and realized that my kids didn't know what a musical/play was. So thankful to add some culture to their lives. :)
.
They both loved it and Gehrig especially enjoyed the time with Grayson and Gentry. :)

Looking forward to more great time together!

A Little More Birthday Fun

Greer's birthday breakfast at Panera...yum!

Family pumpkin patch visit! The kids have been asking to go every day...it was the perfect fall day to do it. :)

Love Greer's face in this fam shot, haha!

Ok, that's better...

In addition to enjoying birthday cake at two other friends' birthday parties, Greer got flowers and balloons from the Dormans when we got home! She loved them...especially the princess one. :)

A busy and fun Saturday with the fam, enjoying each other and celebrating our girl. :)

Waking Up Three

So we started last weekend off with a two-year-old... One with big brown eyes that are happy and mischevious and sweet all at the same time and curls that do well to define the fun and crazy personality of this girl of ours.

Still 2...

Pic with Mommy before the birthday...

And then, just as it always happens on that same day each October, she woke up older. Three! Gehrig led Mommy and Daddy in to get her and say "Happy Birthday!" Is he proud or what? :)

Morning hair and the best smile ever!

Now I'm three!!

Loving lovies...I am so thankful for such a sweet sibling relationship for these two.

We are excited and nervous about what this next year holds for Greer! She is loving and sweet, very funny and impulsive, thoughtful but sassy, bossy and strong-willed, usually good at sharing, strong, tough and girly too. So charming and charismatic, loveable and frustrating, social but independent.
.
She loves princesses and dressing up. Rarely gets hurt despite many daring feats and close calls! Pink and purple are her favorite colors. Her teachers say that she is so smart and careful with her artwork. Her favorite verses are Zeph 3:17 and 2 Peter 3:18 and she loves learning new ones with us every week. She loves to challenge Mommy and has written enough stories with her antics already for a lifetime. :)
.
I love her and am thankful for the humility she has taught me as a parent and the dependence on God that being her mom has led me to! She will make a difference in this world...prayerfully for His kingdom and glory. We love you babygirl!! :) Thank you for making life so much fun.

Field Trip to the Farm

We went on our first co-op field trip to a dairy farm that has just opened up with fall activities for the public and had so much fun! The kids loved everything about it and it was so nice to spend the afternoon with those sweet families too.

They both enjoyed the petting zoo, but I think Greer could've stayed there the whole day.

Next to the corn maze...

Hayride...

Jumping pillow!

Pumpkin decorating...

Horsey swings...

Water pumps/duck races...

And finally the big tube slides!

I'm looking forward to joining them for some of the fun next year when I can do all of the activities too. I love fall!
