For the co-teacher, she said she just wanted to write love things: "I love you.  I hope you have a great day.  Help me obey in the bathroom.  It was fun making a windsock with you."  I love her.

The Bug is getting too heavy (and I'm getting to old) to carry without making my back hurt, so I've been trying to teach her to walk and hold my hand instead.  Her solution is to just ask Gehrig, "Hold you, Geh?" and he usually gives in. Life of the baby of the family :)

Truly an answer to prayer here.  Gehrig has always had such great friends at church/co-op and I prayed that Greer would have the same as she started this year with the class she'll be with growing up.  They are the sweetest group of girls...not always easy to find.  Thank You, God!

I can't stand the cuteness of little feet sticking out at the end of books!  Gonna be so sad when the books don't cover the whole length of her legs...

She got a ring pop treat for 2 good days in a row!!  Woo hoo, I think we're on to something!!  So proud of you, Greer!

And the fun of homeschooling...finish the Tales of Robinhood and then watch the Disney Robinhood movie.  Love Jenn's reminder of these fun additions to our work!

Another Field Trip :)

We headed out to a local dairy farm on a beautiful Friday in early October.  Although the experience itself was a little disheveled and very crowded with lots of other homeschooling families, it's always great to be with our buddies and the kids had a great time.

Dairy class:

She just wasn't feeling it most of the day.  "Hold you, Mama" :(

But all that changed when we all got to see a brand new baby calf towards the end of our time there...so sweet.

It was nice to head home for a good afternoon rest after that one.  Sometimes, the mama days are more tiring than others :)

Raptor Center Field Trip

I love going on field trips with the kids and our co-op.  It's a great opportunity to learn together and get to know each other more as families.  The kids love being with their friends and seeing cool things...commenting for weeks after about things they saw and learned while there.  In late September, we went to Georgia Southern's Nature and Wildlife Center to tour their Raptor Center.  Some things were similar to Jekyll, but on a much smaller scale that worked for the babies too and without the long trip.

First, a quick class and opportunity to see (and pet) some cool animals.

From there, we walked through the outside part and saw lots of birds.  My favorites were the owls and eagles...

I loved this class on habitats.  Greer has been learning about this at school too, telling me there are 3 "H" words the mean the same thing: house, home and "havitat."  Love :)

They went around looking for animals on their lists from each habitat.  Gehrig and Gentry teamed up, as did Greer and Campbell.  Adorable :)

The flight show at the end was AWESOME.  It is truly amazing to see those huge birds fly right over head and learn more about them.  So beautiful.

Playground time before heading back.  Kaylee always takes such good care of Garner.  She is one of the few people that Garner will let hold her etc...and maybe the only kid she allows to!

Heading home...thank You Lord for these opportunities with our kids.  Great memories and fun!
