Advent: Days 21-25

Day 21: Watch The Nativity Story (seriously, the best Christmas movie EVER)

Day 22: Family lunch out

Day 23: Cards and treats to the nursing home (and a super fun game of "Jingo")

Day 24: Christmas Eve Service

Day 25: Receive and celebrate the gift of Jesus!

Seriously, our favorite December ever!  Great family time, opportunities for service and focus on the One who was sent for us.  Thank You, Father, for the most amazing gift of Your Son.  For loving and redeeming and saving us!  We pray for hearts that celebrate throughout the year and live lives that honor You, every day.

But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid.  I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.  Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord!  Luke 2:10-11

Cousins Fun!

We got to have a few days with cousins, Megan and Nathan this week and had so much fun!  The boys had lots of fun playing everything boys play...from football to nerf guns to wii, etc.  And the girls played dolls and house and helped me with cooking and baking and much more.  They were so sweet and we only were able to keep our Gs from being too sad about them leaving by promising them that we will see them again in a few short days!

After picking them up...the boys had to be silly for the pic :)

We spent hours at the new town park the first day.  It was beautiful weather and they had a blast riding scooters and playing on the playground.

Staying to see the sunset :)

Dinnertime...

Megan is such a great helper.  She bathed the girls, set the table, helped with Garner and helped B make waffles for breakfast!

Sweetness...Nathan loving on Garner Bug

Their last night here, we went to see Lights of the South...girls in their headbands, ready to go :)

Some of these are blurry, but still fun.  We had a great time, even with it raining on us!

It continued raining the next day, so we did some crafting.  :)  They all made really cute cards for our visit later this week to the nursing home, had fun painting and making mosaics and enjoyed making a huge fake snow mess with B on the back porch.

Thanks for coming to see us, Meg and Nate!  We love you so much and will see you guys soon!! :)
