Ten

I feel so fortunate and blessed to spend every day with my favorite person in the world. He is the perfect man for me, the calm to my storm. I'm overwhelmed sometimes by his consistent love and patience for me, and the grace that he shows when I least deserve it. It is a small picture of God's great love for us, the plan that He had for marriage all along...to help us understand His relationship with His bride. It makes me sad to think that I am ever (or many times) less than loving in return...
.
Ten years of marriage have flown by, with much change, so much fun and countless blessings. B surprised me with a rose for each year (something we are normally much to practical for :)) and then Mammaw kept the kids for us to get away to Charleston for a weekend.
.
We loved our hotel on the harbor. It was perfectly located to everything such that we walked the whole weekend and saw our car for the first time as we left town Sunday.

They were great there to help us celebrate our anniversary with rose petals, champagne and a dozen roses waiting for us...along with wine and cheese in the afternoons, cookies and milk in the evenings and breakfast in bed each morning (including my morning diet coke!).
.

There are so many great restaurants there! We were thankful for great recommendations and ended up at 82 Queen the first night. YUM!
.
Saturday morning, the hotel had a private carriage waiting to take us on a tour. I loved seeing the historic and residential areas of downtown...and relaxing with B on the ride. :)

Probably my favorite part of Charleston...awesome garden areas between houses.

After our tour, we walked around Market Street and had fun being silly and taking our time through the open air booths. It was perfect. Saturday night, we hit up Slightly North of Broad. So good!
.
Finishing off with some oreo cake...

We made a promise to get away more often. We love our kiddos more than anything, but it was so great to have such a relaxing time together without anyone needing us. :) Thanks B for being the man of my dreams...I wouldn't change a thing.
