Although it's taken me forever to get to the summer posts, it's been fun to relive the sweet time we had with friends and family that we don't see often enough. It really was so nice to have an extended, unrushed time to visit :)
After our first June trip up north, we took a little time at home to recharge and then headed out again for a South Georgia visit on our way to FCA coaches camp. Our first stop was Dublin to see our Dorman buds...these kiddos love each other so much...
And these adults do too :))
The kids asked for a silly face and we all unintentionally did the same thing, haha!
Sweetness...always hard to leave them
Our next stop was Albany...and a short and sweet visit with the Grubbs
Before heading to Aunt Sally's for a couple of days. Bebe met us there too!
And Aunt Beverly :). Gehrig loved showing her his army guys...
Cousin fun :)
Aunt Sally's home is so warm and welcoming. Loved this precious, laid back visiting time...
And Garner loved her sleeping setup in our room!
The kids had so many fun things to do...
...and then, the visit that we'd especially waited for with Mema :))
We got to pick her up for her first outing from her nursing home too! She was so sweet and fun...
Aunt Terri came for the day too and brought her baby goat...
And the rope swing is the best :))
Poor Garner ran one of our Massey fevers while we were there...so thankful for lots of love to help her feel better...
Truly soooo thankful again for this sweet, sweet time. Lots of other cousin visits that we didn't get pics of and just so relaxing...we all loved it and hope for more time with them all soon! Thank you guys for your incredible hospitality and loving on our fam so well :))
From there, we headed to the Watsons' for a day or two... and it was honestly just lovely :))
Baby kittens! The kids were in heaven :))
Lake fun right down the street from their house :))
This one was still finishing up her fever...not quite as sure about the jetskiing ;)
They will be the very best parents one day...
Such a great mix of fun and rest, serious God-talks and laughter. Really wish we could do this more often...love and miss these two like crazy.
On the road again after to our last stop before camp...they have traveled so well this year!
Back seat antics with Greer...dressing her knee in doll clothes :))
Papa's :))
We made it just in time for a yummy low country broil with his neighbors...
Cable! We have grown used to not having it this past year. Watching is a treat ;)
Heading out to the river for a boat ride...
We came upon lots of dolphins! Papa was ready with fish to feed them...so neat :))
Stopping for some playtime...
And my view on the ride back...love
Favorite way to spend a rainy afternoon :)
And His incredible beauty after the storm...wow
Girls and Papa...they love him so much :)
And one last pool game before we head out...
We are so glad that Papa and Rosie are close to camp and allow us to come every year...we always look forward to it and are thankful to make memories there. We love you. Thank you for all you do to host our crew!
Realizing again these months later what a gift this all was...thanks God :))
