I've said it before, but I really can't imagine homeschooling without our co-op. From the classroom experiences to field trips and social gatherings, it provides so many opportunities that we are thankful not to miss. October saw many of these...
We made a trip downtown to the local art museum and spent some time analyzing some of their paintings before doing a little painting of our own.

Later in the month, we went to the Living History Museum for Colonial Days. It was SO cool and especially educational for us since we've been studying American History this year at home...

We are so thankful for all that we learn and enjoy together on these field trip Fridays :))
At co-op one day, I hung out for a few minutes in Greer's class. MayMay teaches the K5 science and does an amazing job with them. This day, they were learning all about skin and its different layers and made edible versions :)
And the next week in art...this was not too long before these two were found under the table painting each other instead of their papers. When they didn't get the staying-on-green-sucker for the day, Greer told me, "It's really okay, Mom. Suckers don't last forever anyway." Oh my :/
And finally, our favorite co-op event of the year...the Harvest Party. It is so nice to bring so many our families together with dads too! I didn't get a lot of pics, but it was really fun :)
No chance we were skipping baths that night! That's the sign of a great time :))
Hoping to get caught up on the rest of the October posts this weekend! Not even sure what has taken up all the time this past month, but thankful for a little slowing down and catching up coming :)
