The good part about meeting there is that we also get to see Bebe, Slade & Jessica! We went up a day early to spend some time with them and talk lots of football since the SEC Championship was Saturday. We left around lunch on Saturday to meet up with the Coopers...and could hardly get a hug from the Gs. "Bye! See ya later!" as we walked out. They love being at Bebe's house. :)
We decided to stay in the Vinings area this time and really enjoyed it. Our hotel was nice and reasonably priced and my friend, Jacy, recommended great restaurants for us. Lunch at Muss & Turner's was great...a perfect mix of good food and a nice, but not too fancy atmosphere.
...
We did a little shopping and then met up with the Dormans at the hotel so that we could be ready to watch the game at 4. And what a game it was!
Ah, yes. RTR.
Catching up...not often that we can talk without being interrupted by a couple, or seven, small children! :)
After the game, we left for dinner. So nice that the restaurant was within walking distance! (Even if the boys were cold.) They love when I take pictures like this..
Another homerun...thanks again, Jacy! Soho was delish.

We went for coffee (milkshake for me), Mad-Gabbed and visited. It was lovely. So thankful for grandparents who love being with the kids to give us a day to refuel. :) We met back up with Bebe, Slade & Jess at Buckhead Church Sunday. Their Christmas opener was like nothing I have ever seen or heard...a great way to kick off the season!
After church, we hit our normal Tin Lizzys. Yummmm.

Weekend Favorites Recap... Bebe, Slade & Jess. Coopers & Dormans. Alabama football. Great food. Dessert and games. Buckhead Church. Good, good stuff.

Cute Jess & Slade...can't believe we didn't get a pic of Bebe from the weekend! Sad.
Emily, Gehrig & Heather.

As usual, Gehrig ate the frosting and not the donut.
Some brown eyes...

Gehrig's age group did a great job!

We moved on the next day to Gatlinburg. We did love the gorgeous drive to get there through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park...I can't imagine how awesome this must have looked a month ago!
After some confusion with our hotel booking, we tried to go eat at a restaurant recommended to us by friends. Closed. Of course! We already knew that one of the main attractions (Dollywood)that brought us to this area for the week was also closed that day. Starving and needing lunch, we stopped into the first place we saw. Not a great idea.

You might have already guessed what we would find out. Sold out. TWO months ago! I have been picked on before for planning too much ahead, but boy was I wishing I had done more of that this time!! Dejected, we took off walking to get some dinner and enjoy some of the downtown shops.
At least it was yummy!
