daddy day

The kids loved giving B their cards and daddy questionnaires on Father's Day morning.

Heading out in the afternoon to eat and run errands and hit the park.  Such a beautiful day!

Love him so much!

Just felt right to celebrate FD with a stop here :)

We waited in Daddy's truck while he went in for a few things...silly billies :)

Park time

And finishing out the evening with pool time.

We are so blessed with a husband and father who loves the Lord and his family with amazing selflessness every day.  Thank You Father for a great example for our kids of what You are to us.

johnsons visit

The Johnsons are one of the several families from our old SS class that moved from here during the last few years.  Thankfully, they live fairly close to our fam in Atlanta, so we've been able to see them there from time to time.  We always love visiting with them and were thrilled to have them come visit here in June.  They have 3 kiddos as well and they all remind us of ours in looks and personality.  It's remarkable.

Harper and Gehrig look and act alike and get along so well...

And Sydney has the same big brown eyes and curly hair as Garner does :)

Girl time...Greer loved being a little mama to Sydney :)

...and sharing her baby doll toys with her too.

The bigs spent lots of time drawing...

...and enjoying their after dinner treats :)

Little Bryce was never far from Garner...so sweet and protective of her!

Bryce, Garner, Harper, Gehrig, Greer and Sydney...super easy pic to get and easy weekend all the way around.  I don't think any of them argued once.  So good and cute together!

A little backyard play before they headed out...investigating some kind of beetle here, I think

And B and I got to catch up with Nick and Jenny too.  Really love time with them.

Should've gotten a pic of the dads too ;)  Love y'all and hope to see you again soon!

bourne reunion 2013

We were super sad to miss the reunion this year and thus not have our annual post of what a great and special time it was.  :(  The kids instead sent this video to the fam there.  Even though they are laughing/smiling, they really were sad...they just can't help being silly all.the.time.

See y'all there next year!

couple of days with the ruckkids

Early in June, the Rucker kids were coming to stay with us for a couple of days while Jen went out of town.  Our kids counted down!

Happy and cute :)

Sad for them that it rained a bunch and kept them from outside playtime.  Playdoh and playing catch on the porch :)

Love the full table!  Grateful again to have a space now to fit us all at once.

We had fun asking and answering questions at dinner...cracked up at Gentry's answer to his favorite snack.  They love Garner so sweetly :)

For movie night, they picked Elf.  We watch it year-round here ;)

Day 2, Garner snuck away for some quiet time with her paci and lovey.  She technically followed the rules of keeping it in the bed by crawling up on the twin in her room.  Sneaky :)

Ready for playtime!

Greer played a little dress-up...so cute!

Fun playing hide-and-seek

And amazing.  All six found a quiet spot to nap or read/rest while I worked for a couple of hours that afternoon.  So thankful for their helpfulness!

We finished the afternoon with some sewing lessons from Annalise...

We are blessed and thankful to have great friends to go back and forth with...that do life the same and cause little to no change in regular routines.  So helpful for us as parents and such a treat for our kids!  Love you guys!

miller play day

B's summer schedule is still pretty busy, but different enough to allow for fun on random days mid-week.  When it timed up well with Tucker's day off, we planned a fun day in the country with the Millers.  We were just bummed that Brandi was out of town for work.  :(

Fishing gear in tow :)

Girls in the playhouse and boys heading to the pond...

While Garner napped, the big girls played quietly...

...and I spent the afternoon here reading.  I never let myself do that at home with work and chores calling for my attention.  It was wonderful :)

Boys back and showing the spoils of their labors...the dads were happier than they look here ;)

Afternoon swinging while we dug in the garden some...love.

So thankful for their sweet friendships, easygoing and relaxed time together and a country home so close.  We love it there and love them!
