october book clubs

Spider Week :).  We read The Very Busy Spider...

Hunting for spiders and webs in the yard

Sweet Sophie after a game on the driveway

Seriously cute felt Itsy Bitsy Spider craft :)

YUM

Our next week was based on Where the Wild Things Are.  They were monsters and had a great wild romp!

Pumpkins!  We read the cute poem about the five pumpkins on the gate...and all their different emotions and expressions :)

Finding their assigned pumpkins

They also smelled pumpkins in lots of different forms...a full pumpkin, puree, spice etc.  And the treats were super cute and yummy!

And then...while Jenn and I visited and rested on the back porch, Greer borrowed my phone for their backyard play.  250 pics and a few videos later, my phone was out of storage and we had lots of cute shots to wade through ;)

Love :)

uga/vandy

Loved a family day to head to Athens for the UGA/Vandy game...and cracked up at this pic that captures all 3Gs so perfectly.  Cool man Gehr, silly Greer and baby Garn crashing for a nap before a long day out :))

Some ball throwing and lunch at the car before we headed to the stadium... our version of tailgating :)

In early to prep for FCA program sales...we love it here

B and Gehr headed down for the Dawg Walk...

We so loved having time with our Clanton buds...

After-game dinner and downtown fun!  Can't imagine what this could look like for them in 10-15 years...

Wish the miles-between weren't so many, but thankful for these days!  Family, service, friends.  Hard to beat :)

turkey federation

A big crew from co-op turned out for a field trip to the local National Wild Turkey Federation and it was great fun :)

Gehr got right into the fishing...complete with hooking his own worms ;)

Nice catch!  Wish his daddy could've been there to enjoy this "school" day with him :)

Making fire

And learning about turkeys and other wildlife etc in the museum

Greer got her turn with fishing and fire-making too.  They also both enjoyed the trail scavenger hunt and Gehr even ran across a huge beaver out there :)

Love these buddies

And these cute girls

And right before some big rains came and ended our day there, we got our instructions and then Gehr got to practice shooting...

Such a great day!  And so thankful that Garner was able to hang back with Jenn and the other littles.  Thank you!
