watsons

We enjoyed changing things up this year and heading the Watsons' way for our December visit.  It was so much fun to see their beautiful place and hang out for a couple of days.  We miss them so so much!

They have always loved our kids so well :).  Jess had plans the first night for make-your-own pizzas and Greer loved helping...

And their pets!  The kids were already excited about lots of playtime with Tate, but were over-the-moon to find two baby kittens there to love on too :))

Gehr's turn to help in the kitchen :)

And lots of photo-ops with these cuties, Noelle and Nick....

The boys enjoyed some football board game playing...and our girls are always smitten with E-wic :)

Oh, they were in heaven :)

In so many ways...

The Habitat for Humanity Global Village is close by, so we enjoyed an awesome tour and lots of examples of homes they've built all over the world.  So so cool to see it all and thankful for their ministry...

The Gs and I were in awe at the Bibles in different languages after reading so much about Bibleless peoples the last few years in our homeschool curriculum...

And this...a sign hanging in the slums.  They had a section built showing the intense poverty of the areas where they come in and work to provide better housing.  It was heart-wrenching...

Afterwards, they provide "passports" to stamp as you go through the global village.  The homes are built to the needs of that climate and culture.  This is one of several...

A meeting/school house replica

And more pics from our time there...we loved it!

Back home for more snuggles and fun and UGA bowl game watching...

It was all so great and too fast.  Love them both dearly...sure was hard to say goodbye :((

bourne christmas

We headed back from Atlanta to share Christmas festivities with our Bourne fam...although we were a little tired still from illness and travel, we so enjoyed being with everyone.  It is truly such a gift to have great extendeds on both sides of our family!

One of Gehrig's gifts...I can't get used to it! ;)

Greer loves her cousins :))

Mammaw's branch of the family tree :)

And cousin pics with the selfie-stick :))

So much fun!  A great way to finish out our Christmas gatherings for 2014 :))

bebe christmas

After a really good night's sleep, I woke feeling much better and slowly regaining strength.  Bebe had been with us the evening before, but we waited to exchange gifts and eat Christmas goodies until day 2.  I love these pics and the sweetness they show...it was a wonderful day :)

Some group pics :)

So so much thanks to Britt and Margaret for hosting two full days, all while having a newborn! It was such a nice time and their place has great in-and-outdoor space for lots of good visiting and playing.  We are so blessed to have such great family and to be able to gather altogether for the holidays!  Thanks God. Love :)

family visitin'

On our way to Atlanta to start the Sellers family Christmases, we visited Aunt Siba.  Her house is the one that I remember the most from my childhood Christmases and it is so much fun to take the Gs there now.  We love catching up with and loving on her.  And I'm always so impressed with how easily she connects with the Gs...especially the littlest one that is the toughest to break ;)

Afterwards, we headed up to Britt and Margaret's with Papa and Rosie.  We enjoyed some game playing the night before the group festivities began...

Sellers Christmas celebrating day 1!  It was so great to see everyone and celebrate and share gifts etc, but I got hit hard with some nasty germs that day and ended up crashed on the couch for a good bit of it :(.  So thankful the kids still got to enjoy good cousin time!  They are all so sweet and cute :))  I spent any wake time praying that no one would get sick from me...

Fun view :)

And the whole crew :))
