sept misc

Greer has a new job and buddy this school year.  Each day, she goes and visits our neighbor's dog, Georgia and takes her out.  They have become fast friends and we are thankful for the opportunity to have the best kind of pet :)

A little Olympics-inspired volleyball

Selfie sillies

And a try at bribery.  Garner spent a month or two waking in the middle of the night and coming into our room to sleep...we are too old to function on so much uninterrupted sleep, so I tried rewarding her with treats in the morning if she made it all night in her bed.  I think it worked once or twice ;)

Goodbye dinner visit with our sweet Duke friends...thankful for them and their ministry and will miss them so much!

And our new coffee table!  Our friend, Daniel, built it for us and the kids love it for lots of reasons :)

A fam pic from a wedding...

And some good Garner time this month...this video on the seasons :)

Can't get over her :)

And now some Old Lady talk :))

We planned a multi-family camping trip for October and all looked so forward to it...

And this had no explanation, but needed documentation :))

What the kids are loving right now :)

girls weekend 2016 PLUS :)

As we looked to our annual girls' weekend, we realized this was the 10th year and thought we'd do something a little extra by inviting the husbands to come along and renting a big place for us all to stay together.  We set the date for September and the kids got just as excited to be hanging with our Rucker fam for the weekend :))

The morning of...

And B and me upon arrival at the lakehouse...wow-wee, maybe a little more space than we needed, but so nice!

Almost all here...sad to not have the Carpenters with us the first night!

Love these ladies...

And these guys...I think they loved their time together as much as we did :))

Birthday celebrating for Chad :)

And the most beautiful morning when we woke Saturday...

Coffee date on the lake with B was so nice

And Steph brought gum expanders to take our daytime game-playing to the next level...so fun and hilarious!

After, some outside lovely while we had football on right inside downstairs

And Carpenters arrived!  The whole crew now :)

Fun trickeration with panoramics ;)

And another group shot before the Baileys had to head home for work...

Settling in for the UGA game

And the late-game excitement...Suzanne caught us all-in :))

Sunday morning brunch

And afternoon lake time with these while our boys golfed...

Altogether lovely and such a great way to wrap up the time.  Love all these so much and beyond grateful for years of friendship and real-life sharing.  Such a gift to all be able to be in one place for a couple of days with hubbies too...not sure if we'll be able to leave them home next time!

Especially because I'm never good at leaving the kids, I can't express how thankful I am for the Ruckers.  Our families are able to go back and forth with each other so easily and I never worry when the Gs are there even for a second.  They have a blast too :)

Garner's journal as she prepared to head there...

And cat heaven for all three of them :)

They always have so much fun game-playing...

And going on fun outings too :)

Truly, so heart-filling all the way around :))
