Day 23: Gifts (Cinnamon smell reminded us of the fragrant gifts given to baby Jesus)

Day 24/25: Cross...it's why He came

We have loved this time and craft-making each day.  Such a precious way to spend the days leading up to Christmas...a great time of focus when the busyness and visiting with family sometimes overshadows the meaning and remembrance.  Thank You, Jesus, for coming to save us...we are humbled and so grateful.

"Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.  Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.  When He appeared in human form, He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal's death on a cross."  Philippians 2:6-8

Advent: Days 16-20

Day 16: Read the Christmas Story and Pray by the Tree (Action Bible version :))

Day 17: Watch Nativity Story (best.movie.ever.)

Day 18: Lights of the South (so fun with the Millers!)

We forgot her shoes :(

Day 19: Treats for the postman

He is the sweetest postman we've ever had :)

Day 20: Wrap Gifts

Day 17: Sheep

Day 18: Heavenly Host of Angels

Day 19: Shepherds (with moveable arms to tell everyone what they saw and lift up to praise His name :))

Day 20: Temple (Simeon and Anna praised young Jesus as the Messiah!)

Advent: Days 11-15

Day 11: Campout in the Living Room/By the Tree (and a little Charlie Brown Christmas too :))

(Confession: We fell asleep out there but all ended up in our beds for most of the night :))

Day 12: Hot Chocolate and Candy Canes

Day 13: Hayride Through the Life of Christ

So much fun and amazingly awesome of Eric & Jessica to drive 4 hours to come up and continue our tradition.  We loved having them for a couple of days and SO much miss them living here!  Hope our next visit is sooner than later :)
