A Whole Year

Seriously?  A WHOLE year?!  It is so hard to believe our baby is 1.  She is famous for her big, beautiful eyes and amazing expressions.  She is affectionate, calm, happy, sweet and easy...especially when her mama's holding her.  :)  We are all so in love with her and thankful to have her in our lives.  It's been fun to hear her start jabbering all the time.  She isn't interested in walking yet and loves hanging out with me in the ErgoBaby.  She is a great napper and night sleeper and eats so well...even soliciting comments from people when we're out!  But she doesn't love riding in the car for long periods and is still a little sad about switching to big girl milk.  We're so excited about getting to know her and her personality even better this next year.  And I'm pretty sure we're not quite done babying her :)

Everyone can't wait to see her :)

Warming up to the idea :)

So, there's a little bit of a story here.  We decided to not do a big party that she wouldn't really enjoy anyway (after doing that with the first 2) and planned a family day to Athens instead.  With a 3:30 kickoff for the UGA-Auburn game and beautiful weather forecasted, we felt like we were in great shape to spend the day there together.  Unfortunately, Garner woke with a fever, so we debated for a little while about what to do.  After her fever responded well to meds and she caught a good morning nap, we decided to go on...some fresh air, distraction and snuggling with mama in the ergo seemed just as good as sitting home.  :)

On the way!

Gehr is so obsessed with football and loved meeting and hanging out with some of the players before the game.

The hometown fave :)

Jarvis Jones

And his fave, Drew Butler.  B has him convinced to go out for punter when he gets older :)

Such a fun family day!

Happy birthday, sweet girl!

And sadly, when we got to dinner afterwards, her fever spiked again.  While we waited for the meds to kick-in again, she fell asleep in my arms.  Pitiful and sweet.

Love, love, love her.  And so glad the sickness was short-lived.  We had a great day, celebrating our Bug and being together.  We love you, Garn!
