beach week part one

Although I have truly enjoyed the cooler temps and all the rain this summer, I couldn't help but wish a little bit for some sunshine for our week at the beach.  As we approached the island, it didn't look too promising :/

Thankfully, though, it cleared up as soon as we got settled!  The kids wasted no time trying out the pool while B and I just sat and talked and took a deep breath.  :)  All of the last minute stress and busyness of packing and getting everything ready melted away even that first evening.

This year's house was so cute and definitely had the shortest walk we've ever had to the beach.  Loved this sweet, relaxing time on the beach with my cuties...

After finishing up their baseball tourneys in TN, the Coopers arrived late that night...it was so good to see them!  The boys picked up right where they left off the next morning :)

The little girls were so stinking cute...they kept playing a new version of hide-n-seek.  Same hiding spot every time, taking turns counting and running straight there to "find" the other and cracking up laughing.  Loved watching them :)
