We miss our sweet Watson friends so much and are very grateful for their traveling to visit our fam! We especially love time together around the holidays, as we built an annual tradition of riding and looking at lights together the four years they lived here. And it gives us a good excuse to make a spot on the calendar for a visit :)
Even though they weren't to arrive for hours yet, Greer planted herself at the front window to watch for them...
Garner Bug never warms to people quickly, but she did with sweet Jessica in less than five minutes...and she hasn't seen her in months. So sweet to watch!
Greer joined in the reading while Gehrig took over Tate-playtime.
My fam has been asking and asking for a dog the past few weeks/months. This is the pup that would make me give in...
On Saturday morning, we enjoyed some adult time with breakfast out and a couple hours of Christmas shopping. So nice! They're so sweet and fun to be with and we loved the uninterrupted catchup time...
We got back in time to head to Gehrig's first basketball game...ever. He is really enjoying it and loves having B as his coach :)
Garner enjoyed having Jessica's long hair to play with ;)
And loving on Tate when we got back home too :)
Heading out for light looking and the Hayride through the Life of Christ...the boys' selfie ;)
And the rest of us...
We weren't sure the weather would cooperate with the Hayride, but were so thankful that it did. It is always a favorite part of our Advent season. This year, it was particularly sweet to listen to Garner's comments and questions. She kept looking for baby Jesus and Mary and didn't understand why they were "hurting that boy" when we got to the crucifixion scene. Our kids reference all that they see and learn here throughout the year. It is so beautiful and moving...thankful for that church's commitment to provide such a sweet event each year that clearly shares the gospel with so many!
After church, we enjoyed a little bit more time together before they left Sunday. Our kids truly wanted to go home with them!
Really, really sad to see them go, but thankful for such a fun visit! Thank y'all for making the trip...love and miss you!!
