Every June, we meet up with the Bournes for some good family time. The travel is long (feels even longer with three littles!), but oh so beautiful!
Everybody coming in on Friday evening...Greer and Ellie were hilarious and cute, talking and playing and taking pics of each other. So fun to watch them reconnect easily once a year.
Enjoying the field by the cottages...
Garner's favorite Bourne...Breezy :). (No offense to the other Bournes...she just prefers 4-legged friends to 2-leggeds on the whole right now. :))
Night one...Hotel room living is always risky with the fam, but it turned out pretty well this time with good sleeping and some fun with glow sticks in the dark. :) I love this daddy.
Saturday AM starts with Breakfast with the Old & Rare. We take up half the dining room. :)
And then, the walk to the gift shop...so fun to watch our kiddos love and anticipate the activities as they get older.
So much to look at and play with! Garner snuggled with all the stuffed animals...
Gehr loves anything miniature...
And the girls enjoyed everything :)
Annual fam pic in front of the big bear!
The kids get to pick a small prize from the shop every year. Greer got a felt bag of beautiful pink and purple and silvery stones...Gehr got a container of snakes. Only in Natural Bridge :)
Hanging out...sweet time with Gehr and Uncle Bill :)
And the girls' fun with the camera, haha!
Reading with Sarah :)
And for the afternoon, time at the lake.
Greer found a friend and took it to show the girls :)
Playing (so as not to have to talk to anyone)...
Fun in the hammock (and yep, that's a giant piece of watermelon just laying on Greer's shirt :))
Our group...
My favorite Bourne :)
Garner helped herself to the table...
And Gehr all day (like he does most days) playing ball :)
Driving back from the lake, we caught some pics. Love the history and beauty here...
Back in the room and WORN OUT...
Night games and good visiting while the babies sleep...
Heading to Sunday breakfast...still wary of everyone.
And up to Granny's for Sunday worship, family pics and goodbyes...
Sure do love him :)
The grands and great-grands...
All (missing a few this year)...
Wish we had more time with these specials...
And signing off with some Greer personality...her pose rubbed off to the other girls :)
So thankful for their commitment to the Lord, family and time together...we are blessed to have such an awesome heritage!
